Ski holidays in the Eisacktal valley

Winter magic in the mountains

Snow-capped mountains and sunny slopes. Crisp mountain air and soft snowflakes. White expanses and blue skies. Outside Hotel Fernblick, the Eisacktal valley shines at its winter’s best. Whether you are a passionate skier, a toboggan fanatic or simply seeking peace and quiet, you can have it all on the slopes of Mt. Plose!

The Plose ski resort

A short ride on the Plose cable car and you will find yourself on sunny, groomed ski pistes framed by the impressive Aferer and Villnösser Geisler mountain ranges. The pistes cover 40 km and include the 9km-long Trametsch – the longest downhill run in South Tyrol! Wonderful ski huts and restaurants with marvellous sun terraces on the Plose invite you to relax and recharge your batteries. This snowy paradise lies just 3 km away from our hotel and is easily reached thanks to the ski bus that stops right on our doorstep.

Winter trekking

Enjoy the surreal quietness as you trudge through white landscapes and ice crystals shimmering under the sun. Around our hotel and on the Plose, several winter trekking trails wind across idyllic pastures and through fragrant woods – an off-piste experience we highly recommend.

3, 2, 1… toboggan!

When was the last time you sledged down a slope? If you would like to brush up your skills, do not miss the RudiRun – one of the longest tobogganing runs in South Tyrol! It starts by the mountain terminal of the Plose lift and offers a 9 km-long thrill down to the village of St. Andrä. Near our hotel there is also the Ackerboden natural toboggan run and if you are partial to night tobogganing, the place to meet is the Plose floodlit run every Friday evening.

The Christmas market in Brixen

A stroll through the Christmas market on Brixen Cathedral Square awakens the anticipation of the festivities. In the nearby inner courtyard of the Brixen Hofburg, a multimedia light and music show will transport you to colourful worlds. And for those who love contemplative silence: During Advent, the mountain Christmas on the Plose entices you with a Christmas hike through the snow.
