To the Plose or to Brixen?

Remote as it may look at first glance, the idyllic village of St. Leonhard near Brixen has a whole, spectacular world within its view. Set in the sunny hills of the Plose mountain range at an altitude of 1,400m, the Fernblick offers unobstructed views of the spectacular mountains of the Eisacktal valley and the Dolomites. The location is not as secluded as it might seem, either: the valley terminal of the Plose lifts can be reached on foot or by bus in just a few minutes. A short ascent and you find yourself right in the heart of Brixen ski and hiking paradise of the Plose. Perhaps you would rather explore the valley? Several times a day the bus connection line 322 brings you to Brixen, the former bishop's town of Brixen.

Breathtaking views

"Almost the whole world in view!" It is definitely one of the sentences we most often hear from our guests. In fact, our hotel offers just the perfect view of the Eisacktal valley and further afield. The peaks of the Plose and Gabler mountains look so close, with the rugged shapes of the Dolomites towering in the background.

Almost the whole world in view!

The Radlsee Lake and the quaint Schalderertal valley seem to be just a few metres away, as do the Stubai Glacier and the Zillertal Alps further north. When the sky is clear you can see as far as the Mendel pass south of Bolzano… an unrestricted view with an appeal that never fails!
